General Questions

What type of DNA testing services do you provide?

We offer a wide range of DNA testing services—both legal and non-legal—including paternity, maternity, sibling, grandparent, avuncular, immigration, and prenatal paternity tests.
Every legal test we perform meets court-admissible standards, ensuring results you can trust.

Legal DNA tests are performed under strict chain-of-custody procedures and are admissible in court for matters such as child support, custody, immigration, or inheritance cases. Non-legal DNA tests provide the same level of accuracy but are intended for personal knowledge only and are not used for legal purposes. Our team will guide you in choosing the right test for your situation.

Do you offer mobile testing services or in-house testing only?

We offer both mobile and in-house testing options to accommodate your needs and comfort level. Most clients choose our mobile testing services for the added convenience and privacy of being tested at their preferred location.

How soon will I get my results?

Standard paternity test results are typically available within 2–5 business days. Some test types or expedited results may vary.

What is required for ink fingerprinting services?

Bring a valid photo ID to your appointment. Lab Gurus provides FBI-compliant (FD-258) cards and professional ink-rolled fingerprints for employment, licensing, or background checks. Schedule ahead to secure your spot, especially for mobile or court-related testing.

How is a hair follicle drug testing performed?

Hair follicle drug testing is a simple and reliable way to detect drug use over time. We collect a small sample—typically from the crown of the head, or another area if needed. A government-issued ID is required, and results are usually ready within 2–4 business days. Depending on hair length and growth, this test can detect drug use for up to 90 days.
